OYO a big name in the hotel industry and The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce(FICCI) are said to have agreed on joining hands this Thursday, for designing and developing an online certification course.
The course will mainly focus on the norms mentioned by the tourism ministry. the scope of this course covers is “minimizing person to person contact, redesigning of sanitary protocol and all the other standard protocols regarding safety norms”.
As per the joint statement, this particular policy or course will benefit the mid-budget hotels and small scale hotels too, it will help hospitality professionals to maintain and upgrade their hygiene paralleling the government and industry benchmark, contributing in the creation of the safe environment in the workspaces for the costumers as well as the staff.
The certification course will help hospitality professionals and hotels across the nation to align themselves with the norms of safety, which might automatically lead to a healthy and safe environment in this time of pandemic.
This will create a sense of trust for customers towards the hotel staff FICCI will help with the designing and developing of this course as in using the IT infrastructure while OYO has already developed and designed the course materials for the program.
“This course is designed to help develop a uniform set of self-regulating policies and procedures,” said FICCI General Secretary Dilip Chenoy. the course aims to create a mechanism that would reinforce the structure of our industry so that they can benefit from the guidelines and sanitation protocols, he added.
Union minister of state tourism Prahlad Singh Patel said that they embrace this initiative of FICCI and OYO which use technology in creating a course which will help in maintaining and improving high standards safety protocol
